At 13 years old, I wanted to go fishing. Back in that day, you could stop a fisheries officer on the side of the road and request a license. In 1964, my Lobster license cost .25 cents. A few years later I requested a salmon and Groundfish license which cost $1 each. The commercial wild salmon fishery at that time was very plentiful and price was $3 per pound and cod fish was approximately 12 cents per pound. There is a story to be told everyday on the water and despite how much we enjoy it, the work is hard and dangerous. I have fallen overboard a total of 5 times in my fishing career and one of those experiences gives me the opportunity to share my story with you. Please take the time to read my best fishing tale.
