Hi, I'm John Skinner, a professional fish harvester from St. George's on the West Coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. I can't quite remember when I started fishing with my father because it seems like I've always been out in a fishing boat. We used to fish salmon and herring. I used to fish with one of my brothers as well but I've been fishing on my own now for about 20 years. I like fishing on my own, and greeting other fish harvesters on the water. It's a lifestyle that I enjoy.
