The Acadian Fishermen's Co-operative is one of the largest processors of lobster on Prince Edward Island. We position ourselves as a high quality producer within the seafood industry, offering a wide range of products, such as scallops and crab, to compliment our lobster. We pride ourselves on having one of the most modern plants in North America and are committed to delivering high-end value-added products in a super clean environment. Our Acadian Supreme brand is a mark of distinction. Founded in 1955, we are owned by approximately 95 member fishermen. At peak season we employ more than 200 workers in ports along the south shore and in Abram’s Village, a quaint fishing community that is home to our processing plant. We meet the needs of our customers while providing work for the people of our Island communities. The Co-op is a vital part of the community offering steady employment to our workers while giving fishermen more control over their catches and therefore better value to our customers.
